Using guitar effects and a looping machine, classically trained violist Christen Lien performs original compositions that are a beautiful mixture of East and West, classical and postmodern, and acoustic and electronic on her first album, Vol. I; Battle Cry. This CD is the first version of her debut collection and is a concept album about the journey one takes as they step into their power.
